Congratulations to Jack Macaulay, whose spirited drive at Whilton Mill earned him a trophy for best novice.

Also, well done to Daniel O'Beirne who didn't win anything, but never gave up. Daniel was the innocent victim of an accident in morning practice and did his best, despite having to race a very bent kart throughout the day. His determined attitude will certainly reap rewards in the future.

Keith Gatton, Rotax 177, looked to have 6th place in the bad but lost his substantial lead when heat exhaustion began to take its toll in the closing stages, so it's back to the gym for him! He finished a respectable 9th which isn't bad for someone who never tests on Saturdays.

Alex, Senior Rotax, leapt from p8 to 2rd on lap one, but the carburetor problems that had dogged him all weekend soon returned to compromise his race. His gallant defence from the chasing pack made for great entertainment, but a slip down the order was inevitable and 7th place was a good result in the circumstances.
