Shenington November

Two very strong heats put Andy on grid 8 for the Junior Max A Final. A consistent race saw Andy remain eight throughout the shortened final due to adverse weather conditions. Nonetheless, a good result considering some problems with gearing and jetting.

 

 

Lewis Malin, his first weekend with Kart Coach, the Minimax driver improved significantly throughout both days. A consistent race day allowed Lewis to concentrate on his driving, especially in the wet weather. Another signature on his license, only two left before he can move onto his yellow plates.

 

 

This was John's first weekend with Kart Coach, and his first race back to Shenington in TKM Extreme for nearly a year. A clean Saturday test day put John in a confident frame of mind for the Sunday race, despite the dreadful weather conditions. John's driving improved leaps and bounds during the racing and by the end of the day he was fighting with the full plates. A consistent and rewarding race day nonetheless.

 

 

Whilton November

Ashley Longdon in Junior Max really excelled in the wet and changeable conditions. Ashley had never driven at Whilton in these conditions, but nevertheless he put in some stellar performances. He finished 22ndin the final, ahead of several other more experiences drivers, this netted him yet another trophy. Having completed in five races, Ashley is now ready to graduate to his full plates.

 

 

Tom Hill, Cadet made steady progress throughout the weekend. After listening closely to the coaching, and proving his diligence on the track walks, Tom began putting his new found knowledge into practice. His lap times fell over the Sunday race day, but he couldn't make up for some bad luck in the heats, eventually finishing 10th in the B Final.

 

Dean Clayton experienced his first race on the new track at Whilton, and subsequently spent the vast majority of the weekend getting to grips with the new layout. He adapted very well to the changes though, and gradually his best lap times began to fall. Dean drove a very consistent final, but some problems with kart handling in the wet forced him to finish 18th. A respectable finish considering the size of the field, and Dean's inexperience on the new track.
